The porcelain is entirely hand painted. The process of
china painting is the layering of fine translucent paints between several
firings in the kiln. Porcelain paints are from ground minerals and are just so
beautiful to work with. The gold is
real 22 karat gold. This is not a fast process. The pieces are meant to be used
for their intended purpose. I use the plates
for eating and serving and the pitchers for beverages or flowers. Many are just
meant to be beautiful.
