I
get my gourds from growers across the country. I try to find ones with
interesting shapes that please me. All the seeds are saved for planting and
harvesting more gourds the following year. Dremel tools and saws are used in the
carving process. Painting the designs is done with leather dyes and other art
pens, such as gold and silver leafing. Accessories are usually small seed pods
found in my travels. I like being able to find another surface on which to put
my artwork.
